Beyond Index

I know I’ve posted about Beijing’s air quality before, but I can’t help draw attention back to it when the AQI (Air quality index) almost reaches 600. Let’s review. The AQI is an indicator of air quality whose ratings are based on their adverse effects on health and the environment. Its highest rating is 500 and it’s supposed to be an absolute scale. This is how we deal in my casa:

Now, to counter the air’s affects, one should buy an air filter, but considering they cost over $1000, we’re buying plants. Apparently palms are the best way to go. I’ll keep you posted on the status of our air quality.
